Online Diva Launch 2


The second Online Diva launch was held this week and it was a huge success. It was held at the Yahoo 7 offices down on Sydney Harbour (trust me if there is anywhere you want to work it is these offices they are fantastic).

There was about 150 women there to ask questions about making money on the web, network and learn from the Online Divas how to create a successful web business. I am really excited about being a part of this initiative and supporting women in Australia in their vision of starting their own web business online.

What have I been up to this week?

Well this week has been about creating video and audio products for those of you who are looking to learn about making money on the web. I have done this to help you start learning the different steps and strategies for starting your own web business.

I am running a one day workshop on the 28th Feb at my local community college (my way of giving back to the community) and I have been creating the presentation for the last couple of weeks.

Part of this workshop is learning how one product can become many products. That is the beauty of information marketing. So although I have created this presentation for my workshop I am also using it to create learning modules for those who cannot attend the one day workshop.

Below is a list of what I am creating from one powerpoint presentation:

Can you see the power of creating one product and turning it into many information products for your web business.

Below is the one I created at the beginning of the week. It is my goal setting workbook called Mindset for Online Success which I had already written at the beginning of the year, but now I am turning it into multiple mediums and you can do this all from home - cost me 'zip', just my time.

But for those who don't want to do it there are plenty of people on www.elance.com who will do it all for you for very little expense. So there is no excuse for not building your web business sooner rather than later.

So why don't you spend the weekend doing some research on a topic that you are interested in and seeing if there is an 'information product' that you can create and start selling online.

If you are interested in my video tutorials - I am going to be creating them in inexpensive modules so that you can purchase them one at a time and not get 'information overload'. The Gurus call it IM ADD (information marketing attention deficit disorder).

The Benefits of Product Launches To Your Business

Hi, I am doing an early blog because I wanted to create some additional information regarding product launches.

Last week I told you about my 'big product launch bug bear' and that still stands. I have pretty much unsubscribed from those people product launch spamming to their lists.

But I wanted to tell you about the benefits of products launches for your own business plus using other people's product launch information as 'learning tools' for your own product launches.

If you have not learnt it by now, the whole internet marketing success rides on people copying, duplicating and mastering other people's proven success strategies. I mean why reinvent the wheel when someone else has already done the hard work for you. Not rocket science.

Anyway, Dan Kennedy is the GURU of all GURU's in the internet marketing world, and when he participates in a product launch you

• watch
• listen
• observe and
• copy

because there is noone out there who is going to teach you better than this man.

So I just wanted to let you know that he is currently doing a product launch and as your internet business coach, I highly recommend you:

• take part
• read
• watch and
• learn exactly the steps he is taking to launch a new product out in the market place

Pay strict attention to:

• his email marketing
• the way he is using super affiliates to launch his product for him
• his headlines to get people to open their emails
• the tools he is providing his affiliate marketers
• the incentives he is offering his affiliate marketers
• the competition he is holding (there is much competition in the internet marketing boys club) those in the know use this to their advantage to make more money
• the upsell he is using to continually sell his product after the initial product launch is over eg (resell rights, very, very clever)

Video Tutorials are live!

Hi there, I hope this email finds you all happy, healthy and enjoying life. It is an absolutely magnificent day here in Sydney, Australia and I am planning on getting my work done as quickly as possible so I can get down the beach this afternoon and go and have my weekly glass of wine with my good friend Meredith.

The joys of being an online entrepreneur. This could be you in 2009, it is up to you to take action. why not come along to one of my workshops and learn how YOU can get your own online business started and make your own lifestyle choices in 2009.

Okay what have I been up to this week. Well as you know I am only working 3 days a week so there is never enough hours in the day, but I managed to get quite a bit done.

• I also have been researching a new niche to target and do a JV with my sister which is another step in the process that you will learn through my video tutorials. How to research and find out if a niche is even profitable before spending too much money
• I am running workshops early in 2009 with registrations for the events coming in thick and fast, so if you want to get started I highly recommend finding out how easy it is by attending one of my workshops in the newyear. • I built a weebly website for my girlfriend who is an amazing Australian Artist who wanted a place to send interested parties to look at her artwork without having to carry them around with her. So I created a free Weebly website. Check it out at www.poppetspaintings.weebly.com
• And today I am finishing off my workshop presentation with lots of examples and hands-on tutorials to show you exactly what you need to do step-by-step to start earning money on the internet. One of my biggest bug bears at the moment which was the topic of my latest article is what I call 'product launch spamming'. I don't know about you but I am so 'over it'. So I have decided to make a stand. Any guru I subscribe to who sends me a 'my mate product launch email' I unsubscribe from....I don't think I am going to have very many emails at the rate I am receiving these promotions. It is getting up to 20 a day and I think enough is enough.

Anyone who feels the same way and wants to stop filling the pockets of the 'gurus' who seem to have stopped teaching and just spend their days making money on unsuspecting newbies who do not know any better, than I recommend doing the same thing. Unsubscribe from their email lists and they will soon get the message. Why?

Because all GURUS know that the money is in the list. These guys are nothing more than really good marketers and they rely on really good copywriters to push the right emotional buttons to get unsuspecting buyers to spend their money. Now there is nothing wrong with that if they are providing value and selling their own products, but when it comes to jumping on the backtail of every GURU's launch, and abusing their email lists just so that they can make a commission, that is when I say enough is enough.

My rule is, if you have not read and implemented your last purchase then you do not purchase anything else until you have. You do not need every single latest gadget that these GURU's are promoting. They know that half of you won't even open the package or will get to page 2 and give up ...why because most of the strategies are above most people especially a newbie. They make you feel like you will not be successful online unless you buy this product - well that is nonsense.

My advice...don't buy anything that comes to you in the form of a promotion email. It is purely to fill the pockets of the email sender.

Find a couple of mentors and stick with them. If they have a resource page or recommend a couple of products that they are affiliated to that's fine these are usually genuinely helpful resources that you can use in your business. But if you get a 'don't miss out on this launch email with a whole lot of bonuses attached' ignore them. Why because you are going to get another one next week, and another one next week and another one the week after that. Keep your money in your pocket because there is no quick fix to this industry.

It takes a lot of time, energy, action and learning to make money online, anyone who tells you otherwise is just after a quick sale.

So I think it is time that the GURU's who are now 'so far removed' from their grass roots of 10 years ago, take a step back and actually start helping people. They have become the investment bankers of the internet and it is all about the 'money'.

Well as you can see I am quite passionate about this subject. If you want to learn in a totally 'non hype' environment with someone who really cares about whether you succeed and is not out to fleece you of all your money, plus a place where you will not receive hundreds of 'launch' emails. Then come and hang out at my website and lets become successful together.
