Now before you start wondering whether I have started my Christmas cheer a week early ( even though that sounds like a good idea), no I did not leave out a word in my heading. In fact I left it out on purpose and now I am going to explain why.

By now you should have heard how important it is about getting to page one on Google and the other search engines. You have probably heard about SEO (organic rankings that are free) and PPC advertising which is paid ranking position in the search engines.

Well all these strategies revolve around one key thing the 'key word' that is being typed in by your target audience.

Now, I know I am not telling you anything new and that is not the purpose of this post. The purpose of the post is to show you how you can use 'unpopular' keywords that are not highly targetted to organically or using PPC, get you to page one quicker.

The key is to use this key word eg how make money on internet as many times as you can throughout your blog copy, website copy, domain name, domain name extension eg www.pammieb.com/howmakemoneyoninternet (this is not a link so don't click it). To help you get placed higher for this unsaturated keyword.

You see although this keyword does not seem to make sense, approximately 398 people search using this long tail keyword per day (broad search) and only 553 website owners have bothered to target this keyword, making it a keyword that is very easy to dominate very quickly. (Probably not after they read this post but hey, it's Christmas). Or if you are feeling a little bit more daring how about how to make money on internet at 79 searches per day (phrase) and only 27800 competing websites still not too bad for promoting an ebook. You get the idea.

So what I wanted to tell you about this afternoon, is that sometimes the 'silly' not so popular even strange words that are typed in to the google search engines, can become your best friend when driving traffic to your website. Just remember it is important to try and use the key word as many times as you can within your content without writing copy that does not make sense.
